A large contingent of more than 400 helpers looked for a missing ten-year-old girl on Saturday and Sunday in Menden / Sauerland (North Rhine-Westphalia).
The police fear bad things because several sniffer dogs have led them towards the HOnne river, which is currently abundant in water, a spokesman said on Sunday. There the trace of the girl in the immediate vicinity of the parents’ house was lost. “If she fell into the water, there is little hope that she could have survived.”
The girl disappeared from her parents’ apartment in an unobserved moment on Saturday – presumably in pink pajamas and barefoot. The ten-year-old is autistic, accordingly shy and could therefore have hidden somewhere. (AP)
