Eiffel 65, one of the bands symbol of Italian dance music, was formed in the 90s by the meeting of Jeffrey Jey, Maury Lobina and Gabry Ponte. Their debut single, titled “Blue Da Ba Dee” (platinum certificate) immediately reaches an incredible success and consecrates them stars of the Italian and international panorama of disco music. The song reaches the top position in the dance charts in various countries including England and the United States and, following these results, concerts all over the world, together with the publication of the first two albums, “Europop” (1999) and “Contact!” (2001). Since then, they sell over 15 million records, becoming one of the Italian bands to have sold multiple albums worldwide. In 2002 they released their first song in Italian entitled “What will remain”, which anticipates the release of the third self-titled album. After a few years of pause, during which the individual members carry out solo projects, Eiffel 65 are back in 2016 with a new single called “Panico” and continue to perform live all over the world.
Lastly, the Vengaboys, a Dutch Europop group consisting of Cowboy Donny, Captain Kim, Partygirl D’Nice and Sailorboy Robin. The history of the band began in the early 90s, during some DJ sets: it was the beach parties in Ibiza that brought the members together, who in the following years decided to create something concrete. The first international success is “Up & Down”, single released in March 1997, which quickly reaches the world rankings, positioning itself at the top of the Billboard Dance Chart. Since then they have released hits that have entered the history of world pop-dance music, such as “We Like To Party!”, “Boom Boom Boom Boom”, “We’re Going to Ibiza!”, “Shalala lala” and “Kiss (When the Sun don’t shine) “.
