The new regional CUP offers response times within 60 seconds in 90% of calls; sending a summary text message with the essential elements of the appointment (service, place of performance, date and time of booking); the automatic call service, a few days before the booking, to confirm and / or cancel the scheduled appointment; the free “CUP Piemonte” App for online reservations, available for both Android and iOS. A totem has been placed in the atrium of the Poliambulatorio in via San Secondo 29 bis from which it is possible to book, move or cancel specialist visits and diagnostic tests with a health card and electronic prescription.
The regional CUP, already active in the Mauriziano and San Luigi hospitals and in the Asl of Biella, Novara: according to the Region, it will allow a wider offer of hospital and outpatient facilities, both for Public Health and for the Affiliated Private Healthcare, which, when fully operational, will involve the whole Piemonte.
The goal and the numbers
“With the unique Cup project – observes the Regional Health Councilor, Luigi Icardi – Piedmontese Healthcare takes an important step towards the future, with a view to services for its citizens who are increasingly at the forefront of the national scene and in step with technological innovation. Currently, the contacts managed through the Sovracup call center in the province of Turin are around 700 thousand per year: in the new single Cup, it is expected, once fully operational, to manage approximately 2.5 million contacts per year “. From tomorrow it is estimated that approximately 5,000 daily calls will arrive at the regional call center (Asl Novara, Asl Biella, Asl Vco, Ao Mauriziano, Aou San Luigi, Asl Citta Di Torino). When fully operational, a volume of approximately 12 thousand calls per day is estimated.
Private individuals also arrive
First access services, in particular all 69 services that are part of the national waiting list general plan, can be booked through call centers, apps and totems. Some services provided by accredited private individuals are also available on the Cup system to reduce waiting times.
The ASL of Turin to the test
